NOVAGUARD: Sky Defense

About this game

NOVAGUARD is a one-finger air defense shooter where the sky itself is your playing field. Tap any point above the city and the nearest battery launches an interceptor that detonates right there. There is no aiming stick and no buttons to juggle, so the whole game lives in timing and placement. Meteors, swarms, armored hulks and drifting mines keep coming, and the last city is the only thing standing behind you.

The core trick is chaining. Any kill inside an explosion triggers another blast, so one well-placed shot can sweep a dozen targets in a single volley. Six sectors each end with a boss, from a spined alien warship to a horned leviathan. Every boss has its own pattern: strike the exposed core first, wait for the vents to open and hit those next, then build a chain inside its shield. Learning these rhythms is most of the fun.

Between runs you upgrade your batteries, pick upgrade paths that change how you handle the sky, and select sector modules that bend the rules. A daily challenge is identical for every player in the world, weekly contracts give you goals to chase, and a share card lets you show off your longest chain. Available in several languages and runs on desktop and mobile browsers.

How to play

Tap or click anywhere in the sky and the closest battery fires an interceptor to that point. Hold to charge a bigger blast. When the overcharge bar is full, drag across the sky to raise the Barrier. Destroy everything before it reaches the city. Kills inside explosions set off chain reactions.
