About this game
Midway Malarkey is a hand-painted arena brawler set in a 1930s cartoon carnival. Mischievous rascals spill out of every tent, and you have to stay alive while your weapons do the shooting for you. Rolling pins, trumpets, tesla coils and falling anvils all fire automatically, so your job is positioning, dodging enemy shots and deciding where to be when the next wave arrives.
Between waves you collect tickets and spend them at the Prize Booth, where you can merge weapons into stronger versions and complete weapon families for extra bonuses. You can play the endless survival mode for as long as you can hold out, the 15-wave Grand Tour campaign, or the Daily Show, which changes every day with its own twist from a pool of thirty different shows.
The game has six heroes to unlock, each starting with a weapon of their own, and bosses including the strongman, Madame Merry-Go-Round and the Ringmaster himself. The soundtrack brings four swing-era tunes to the chaos. It runs in the browser, so you can jump straight in.
How to play
Move with WASD or the arrow keys, or drag on the left side of the screen on mobile. Press Space to dash. Your weapons aim and fire on their own, so focus on positioning. Press Esc or P to pause.
