About this game
Lantern Wayfarer is a 2D platformer with puzzle elements, where you play as a lone traveler who still carries a light in a world swallowed by creeping darkness. Your task is to restore the beacons that have gone dark, using your lantern to reveal the way forward. You can run, jump, cling to walls for extra height and dash across perilous platforms.
The central mechanic revolves around light. Spirit platforms only materialize within the glow of your lantern, so every jump depends on where you direct that light. Hold the flare to scout ahead and expose hidden dangers, but keep in mind that the darkness is always pressing in. Gloom wisps and shadow creatures can be stomped into submission when you find the right moment.
Light every beacon to move through each world, locate waylamps to save your progress, and prepare for the giant shadow beast Murkmaw waiting at the end of every stage. This browser game requires no installation and plays on both desktop and mobile, where on-screen buttons handle all the controls.
How to play
Use the Arrow Keys or A and D to move, Space or W to jump, and Shift or X to dash. Hold the Lantern Flare key to scout the darkness ahead. On mobile, use the on-screen buttons.
